On Monday 6th May we went to Rushall Manor Farm for our first forest session. We had an amazing time getting to know our new outdoor classroom. We began to learn about the wildlife, what was precious such as the rare orchids, what plants shouldn't be touched and what animals lived there. We had great fun challenging ourselves to climb the logs and lots of fun on the forest tyre swing. We can wait to get back next week, especially as we get to go on the trailer pulled by a tractor, how exciting is that!

16th May

This week we went to visit the bees. We learned all about their hives, jobs and how they tell each other where to collect the pollen with their waggle dance. Perhaps you can spot some bees in our pictures!

We also went to the pond and used nets to observe boatman, larvae, water snails and all kind of little creatures. We even found racing water beetles.

Weeks 3,4

We have had a great time creating fairy gardens and castles, making prints, bug hunting and improving our team and movement skills.

Weeks 5

This week we used the tools. We had to work careful as a pair to cut a slice of the wood, drill a hole wit the palm drill and put a jewel or picture on it.

Week 6

Today we were developing our den making skills and learning about changes to food through cooking.
