Letter from Mrs Johnson (30th March 2020)

As you know, school is now closed and I do not anticipate this changing for at least the next 3 weeks (including the Easter break) when the government will be reviewing their “lockdown” advice. The staff and I are in regular contact through the magic of the internet and I know that they are trying to keep in touch with you by phone and email. If your phone shows “Private Number”, it may be us! It is taking quite a long time to phone around so you may get a follow up email before your next call, but if you need us please call or email the office or the class email. We want to support you as best we can.

With that in mind I would draw your attention to the following guidance issued yesterday by the Government.

I would also like to remind that you that during this period you will need to maintain your home security regarding online content for your children. The sites that we recommend are legitimate and GDPR compliant but please be aware that many games sites and those purporting to be educational may not be. If you are concerned about online content please report it to

We will continue to provide daily activities for the children this week but do not intend doing so for the Easter break. We will however provide some guidance on tasks which you and the children might want to undertake over the holiday and point you to some online content which you can use. And we will be back up and running on the 20th April!
