  • 27.11.20 Homework

    Published 27/11/20, by Hannah Tompkins

    Dear all,

The homework for this week is as follows:

1x MyMaths task on multiplication and division. We haven't started this topic yet, so the task is an introduction to the unit for the children to show what they can remember from Y3. Please don't worry if they struggle as it is just for me to see where they are.

1x SPaG test on direct speech punctuation (login details attached below)

Please encourage your child to read over the weekend and also to complete the spellings we have been learning this week which are attached. These don't need to be brought back into school as it is just for practice. Times tables rock stars practice would also be great.

    Many thanks,

    Miss Tompkins

  • 20.11.20 Homework

    Published 19/11/20, by Hannah Tompkins

    Dear all,

This week's homework is as follows:

    1x MyMaths on times tables

1x SPaG test (all logins have been attached below). This test is more of a baseline test for me to see where the children's understanding of fronted adverbials is currently. We will be looking at these again in the coming weeks and I will set another test afterwards to gauge progression.

As always, please ensure that your child is reading regularly at home and that they are continuing to practice their times tables on Times Tables Rockstars.

I have also attached this week's spellings to the post, however as I am setting a SPaG test, this is optional.

    Have a lovely weekend,

    Miss Tompkins

    Dear all,

The homework for this week is as follows:

1x MyMaths task on measuring lengths. If your child gets below 70%, please can they try again. If there are outstanding MyMaths tasks to be completed, please ensure your child does these also.

Character description for English- this is an independent task that I will informally assess to check where the children are with their writing and gauge how well they have understood the main character of our myth. My character description model is attached below if your child has misplaced theirs.

    This week's spellings (attached below).

Please ensure your child is continuing to read at home and practising their year 3 and 4 spellings as well as their times tables on times tables rockstars.

    Many thanks,

    Miss Tompkins
