Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. There are four categories of children who qualify for pupil premium:

  • Children who are currently eligible for free school meals (FSM)
  • Children who have been in receipt of free school meals within the last 6 years
  • Looked after children
  • Armed forces children

For information on how to apply for Free School Meals click here or speak to the school office.

Whilst our school has a small proportion of children who are eligible for pupil premium we believe that every child should be supported in achieving their full potential, academically, socially and physically no matter what their background. The targeted and strategic use of the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) supports us in achieving this.

Please see the information below on how we spend this funding. The impact of these strategies is tracked and monitored carefully to ensure they meet the needs of the respective children and to ensure the respective children achieve their full potential.
